"So You Think You Can Dance"
So You Think You Can Dance will be back next summer on Fox.
The competition, which wraps its 10th season this week seems to have been renewed for an eleventh run -- as the judge and executive producer announced during the Tuesday episode. He said he heard the news just five minutes before going live. Shortly afterwards, his news was confirmed by a Fox rep.
That live finale, which has the rather unconventional distinction of being interrupted half-way through by an address from President Barack Obama, caps off what has been a softer season of the Fox series. It's been down double digits from the previous summer, also airing just one night a week after losing its results hour in 2012.
This also marks the series' first renewal since May's big departure of reality chief Mike Darnell. The head of unscripted programming, who has yet to be replaced, was instrumental in the series' development and success.
