Stars and photographers sometimes have contentious relationships. Around 12:30 p.m. on August 27, both Alec Baldwin and a photographer called the police to report an incident. It seems a standoff ensued after the photographer got too close for Baldwin's liking while he was with his wife, Hilaria, who just gave birth to their daughter Carmen.
When dating in the mid-2000s, Justin Timberlake and Cameron Diaz were a magnet for problems with the paparazzi. Timberlake and Diaz were hit with a lawsuit in 2004 after two photographers accused the couple of taunting and attacking them. That lawsuit reportedly was later settled, but the pair were again in an alleged confrontation with the paparazzi in September 2006.

(CNN) -- New York City is a jungle even for the celebrities.
Nicole Kidman was involved in a sidewalk pileup on Thursday outside of her Manhattan hotel when a paparazzo ran into her on his bike.
Images of the incident show that Kidman fell to the ground and lost at least one of her heels as the photographer ended up in a heap with his bicycle.
Baldwin: Wish I could flush paparazzi
Witnesses at the scene told TMZ that the 46-year-old actress didn't have any visible injuries. Another onlooker told Us Weekly that while Kidman "looked hurt, there wasn't any blood." Those who saw the incident also said it appeared that the photographer, Carl Wu, tried to hit his brakes and failed, losing control of his bike.
Kidman's camp has yet to respond to requests for comment. The "Grace of Monaco" star was in town for New York Fashion Week, and was returning from Calvin Klein's Thursday show when the accident occurred.
