MTV has slated the month of October to launch two upcoming docu-series.
Big Tips Texas, about a group of girlfriends working at a Texas bar, debuts with back-to-back episodes Wednesday, Oct. 9 at 10 p.m. PT/ET, while Scrubbing In (formerly Nurses), about nine nurses in Orange County, premieres Thursday, Oct. 24 at 10 p.m. PT/ET, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
Big Tips Texas follows the employees of a popular bar right outside of Dallas, Texas, with the hopes of achieving their dreams. The group includes four veterans and six newbies. Among them: a gifted student hoping to go back to college and hopefully attend Harvard Law, the boss, the bar's top bartender, a rodeo princess, a Chicago transplant and an aspiring fashion designer. The series will run for 14 half-hour episodes.
Big Tips Texas is executive produced by Ross Breitenbach, Shannon Fitzgerald and Tiffany Lea Williams, with a concept by Breitenbach, Andy Meyer and Scot Thor.
Scrubbing In chronicles nine traveling nurses who move to an Orange County hospital in California for 12 weeks at an understaffed hospital. The series is executive produced by Mark Cronin, Joel Rodgers, Shannon Fitzgerald and David Osper.
