"Awkward"
[Warning: Spoilers ahead for season three of Awkward.]
Awkward is hitting the ground running with a brand-new season-three trailer.
The final half of the season, which begins Oct. 22 at 10:30 p.m. following Snooki & JWoww, kicks off with the aftermath of Jenna's (Ashley Rickards) make-out sesh with Collin (Nolan Funk) in the fall finale, during which Jenna intends on ending her affair before Matty (Beau Mirchoff) finds out the truth.
STORY: MTV Renews 'Awkward,' Taps New Showrunners
In the remaining 10 episodes of the season, Jenna begins to question her relationship with Matty and takes her inability to stay loyal as a sign that there may be something deeper going on. After an unexpected public kiss, Jenna finds there is no turning back. Will Jenna's personality transformation profoundly affect her relationships with friends and family?
If the trailer is any indication, Jenna has a lot of growing up to do. The two minutes of footage includes Jake (Brett Davern) and Tamara (Jillian Rose Reed) breaking up over Jenna's Collin affair, Jenna abandoning her family and friends (her mother literally tells her she's not welcome at home if she leaves), Tamara punching Collin and Jenna's realization that she's hit rock bottom. The season-three tease also includes a heart-wrenching moment between Jenna and Matty in the car: "Can you hold me?" an emotional Jenna asks her ex. Question is: Will he do it?
MTV previously released a midseason trailer following the summer finale in June, which you can watch here.

Awkward will return for a fourth season with new showrunners Chris Alberghini and Mike Chessler in 2014, following creator Lauren Iungerich's exit.
