The barrage of John F. Kennedy programming timed to the 35th president's 1963 assassination looks likely to reach critical mass early in November. National Geographic Channel announced Friday that its latest scripted effort, Killing Kennedy, will bow Nov. 10.
A first trailer has also hit the web, and though it offers few glimpses of the film's events, it has a heaping helping of star Rob Lowe taking on Kennedy's Massachusetts accent by reciting the president's final speech delivered earlier during the day of his death.

"Actors play Hamlet all of the time," Lowe recently told reporters, when asked about the pressures of playing Kennedy. "A lot of people will play JFK in the future. He's one of our great American icons... You just look at what you can bring individually as an actor."
A retelling of the events leading up to Lee Harvey Oswald shooting Kennedy in Dallas, the flick follows the similar Killing Lincoln and is also based on a book of the same name by Bill O’Reilly and Martin Dugard.
Newcomer Will Rothhaar plays Oswald, Michelle Trachtenberg as Marina Oswald and Ginnifer Goodwin as Jackie Kennedy.
