The FCC has received more than 150 complaints over Miley Cyrus' racy Video Music Awards performance, according to documents posted online by The Smoking Gun and Huffington Post.
The documents -- which the websites obtained via the Freedom of Information Act -- list viewers' complaints about the live Aug. 25 performance on MTV that featured her twerking alongside Robin Thicke while also making suggestive gestures with a foam finger.

One viewer from Maryland called Cyrus "crude, pornographic and absolutely shameful." (The complaints were logged via a form on the agency's website.)
"Had I wanted my family to see a hooker perform a live sex show, I would have taken her [sic] to Tijuana," the complaint reads. "When she started throwing her hand and arm in a manner to simulate a male jacking off, that was bad enough. then she continued to fondle herself with a foam finger and then she backed up against her male co-singer's genitals in a doggy-style position and humped him like a bitch in heat."
Another viewer from Connecticut griped that Cyrus' movement gave Thicke "a slight erection which can be easily noticed through his pants."
Wrote another viewer from Florida: "Miley Cyrus made multiple sexual gestures and was just purely disgusting. It was hard for me to watch at 29. I cannot believe this was rated for kids 14 and up!"
Another viewer from Minnesota accused Cyrus of "licking the butt of stuff bear," while a Kentucky viewer said she was "acting like devil flicking that tongue as daemons [sic] do."
Wrote another Florida complainer: "GOD HELP THIS NATION and those who desire to pump more filth into our living rooms. DO something and earn your pay."
However, the FCC regulated only broadcast networks and not cable, so, as The Smoking Gun pointed out, the complaints will fall on "deaf airs," so to speak.

On Twitter, Cyrus' VMA performance sparked reactions ranging from outraged to supportive and garnered more than 306,000 tweets per minute during the East Coast airing of the show, which was blasted by the Parents Television Council for serving sex to teens.
A couple days after the show, she told MTV that set she set out to make history with the performance.
"Madonna's done it, Britney's done it. Every VMA performance, anyone that performs, that's what you're looking for -- you're wanting to make history. Me and Robin the whole time said, 'You know we're about to make history right now,'" the pop star said.
Cyrus was also amazed that people were still talking about her performance days later.
"They're overthinking it," she said. "You're thinking about it more than I thought about it when I did it. I didn't even think about it, 'cause that's just me."
Meanwhile, Cyrus has continued to court controversy by slapping the rear end of a twerking little person on German TV and appearing naked in her "Wrecking Ball" video, which recently broke the record for most views on Vevo in a 24-hour period.
