Paul Scheer
ABC is jumping into the Paul Scheer business.
The League star has sold a comedy about a couple trying to keep their relationship together while juggling the dynamics of multiple sets of parents, their spouses and their children to the network. Scheer will write and produce, but has no current plans to star.
The single-camera half-hour, set up at Sony Pictures TV, will be executive produced by Will Gluck and his studio-based Olive Bridge Entertainment. 30 Rock vets Dylan Morgan and Josh Siegal are on board as executive producers. The sale follows other ABC comedy buys, including a semi-autobiographical entry from Jay Baruchel and a legal ensemble from Ed Helms.

For Scheer, the untitled comedy joins a growing portfolio of projects, including The League, now in its fifth season on FXX; a third season of his Adult Swim comedy, NTSF:SD:SUV::; and the ArScheerio Paul web series for JASH. In addition, his How Did This Get Made? podcast boasts 13 million downloads, with new episodes generating about 150,000.
Scheer is repped by UTA and Principato Young Entertainment. Gluck, an EP on NBC's upcoming Michael J. Fox Show, is repped by UTA.
