A rehabilitation center in New Mexico is offering two "scholarships" for addiction treatment in honor of Breaking Bad's upcoming series finale.
HealthShire -- which is based in Albuquerque, where the AMC drama is set and filmed -- has announced on its website that it has partnered with Sage Neuroscience Center to offer the scholarships as part of an effort to bring awareness to mental health and addiction issues.

"Although we are sad to see the show come to a close and leave our fair city, we do recognize that all good things must come to an end," the announcement reads. "We would like to honor the end of Breaking Bad with bringing awareness to mental health and addictions treatment in our community."
According to the announcement, applicants must live in or around Albuquerque and be at least 18. They also must express a financial need and submit a personal story relating to addiction.
Breaking Bad,meanwhile, bows out Sept. 29 after six seasons.The series nominated for a slew of awards at Sunday's Primetime Emmys, including best drama and best actor for Bryan Cranston.

We are based in Albuquerque and our focus is on Mental Health, we naturally LOVE Breaking Bad! Although we are sad to see the show come to a close and leave our fair city, we do recognize that all good things must come to an end.
We would like to honor the end of Breaking Bad with bringing awareness to mental health and addictions treatment in our community. HealthShire is partnering with Sage Neuroscience Center to give two scholarships for addictions treatment in Albuquerque, NM. This Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is a 12-week addictions treatment program that focuses on building the tools and acquiring the skills required to break addiction and begin the journey to recovery.
Healthshire is dedicated to bringing much-needed attention to the state of mental health and its treatment in New Mexico, the United States, and across the globe.
