CBS
"Big Brother"
Another Thursday, another victory for CBS.
Though CBS programming was pre-empted in 3 percent of the country due to NFL preseason football, the Tiffany network will likely stay atop the rankings in the core adults 18-49 demo with a 1.7 rating in primetime.
According to fast nationals, which will likely change, the Big Brother (6.8 million total viewers, 2.3 rating in adults 18-49) eviction episode rose 5 percent compared to last Thursday's broadcast — easily winning the 9 p.m. hour.
ABC, NBC and The CW's fast nationals are also slightly inflated due to local NFL preseason broadcasts. The NFL pre-emptions — which affected 2.7 percent of the country — likely boosted ABC's lineup: Wipeout (4.5 million, 1.3) was up 8 percent, Motive (5 million, 1.1) jumped a drastic 38 percent and Rookie Blue (5.3 million, 1.1) improved 10 percent.
Following two hours of encores, NBC's Hollywood Game Night (4 million, 1.3) rose 8 percent. Fox and The CW aired repeats.
While CBS will likely keep the Thursday victory among the 18-49 demo, it also averaged the most viewers with a 6.2 million average.
