The Sharknado sequel has a name. And it's (drumroll please)…
Sharknado 2: The Second One. The movie, set in New York, is scheduled to premiere in 2014.

After Syfy made its big announcement Thursday, some people took to Twitter to mock the title and offer their own suggestions (incidentally, the name was chosen from a social media contest held by the network).
Tweeted Mortal Kombat co-creator and Ed Boon: "Sharknado 2: The Second One. Really? That's the title of the sequel? Why not just call it 'Sharknado 2 1/2' while you're at it ?"
Added WWE champion-turned-stand-up comic Dolph Ziggler: "sharknado 2, should be a prequel called sharknado 0, john connor goes back in time & kills @twitter before it misleads @SyfyTV execs"
