One Direction is responding to Taylor Swift after the singer was caught on camera mouthing “Shut the f**k up” when the band was presenting at the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday.
At the New York premiere of the group’s documentary This Is Us on Monday night, Louis Tomlinson told Us Weekly, “We were a bit confused. We actually thought she was calling out Niall [Horan], so the whole thing’s a bit confusing.”
Liam Payne added, “I just thought it was a bit not needed. I mean, you just won an award, it’s like, concentrate on yourself!”
Asked by a reporter if he thought Swift’s behavior was “lame,” Payne replied, “Yeah.”
Swift, who split from Harry Styles last January, was photographed with the singer at a VMAs after-party.
