“Miley Cyrus has struck up an unlikely friendship with Vogue’s icy editrix, Anna Wintour,” reports Star, which claims the editor “plans to help Miley launch her own upscale fashion line.”
A supposed “insider” tells the mag, “Anna adores Miley, almost like a daughter.”
The tabloid says the “We Can’t Stop” singer is “keen on emulating Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen as child stars who became successful fashion designers” and wants to “launch a couture line that rivals the Olsens’ high-end line The Row.”
Cyrus has supposedly been “brainstorming ideas for her debut collection and getting advice from Anna,” alleges the tabloid, which adds that Wintour is “thrilled to be Miley’s mentor.”
That’s odd, because Gossip Cop checked in with a Vogue insider, who tells us there is no collaboration in the works between Cyrus and Wintour.
Our source says the magazine’s story simply “isn’t true.”
