Linda Ronstadt has revealed she is suffering from Parkinson’s disease, and the illness has affected her ability to sing.

The Grammy Award-winning singer tells AARP magazine she was diagnosed eight months ago and was “completely shocked” by the revelation.

Ronstadt says she “can’t sing a note” due to the illness, sharing, “No one can sing with Parkinson’s disease. No matter how hard you try.”

The “You’re No Good” singer adds, “I think I’ve had it for seven or eight years already, because of the symptoms that I’ve had.”

Ronstadt won 11 Grammy Awards since beginning her career in the ’60s.
