Lady Gaga’s “Applause” Music Video Premieres

Time to give it up, once again, for Lady Gaga! The button-pushing pop star debuted the much-anticipated music video for her new single, "Applause," on Good Morning America on Monday, Aug. 19 -- and the three-and-a-half minute video is, well, gaga.

In the video, the toned singer starts off by writhing on a bed clad in nothing but lacy black lingerie, but soon moves into a series of costumes and ensembles that showcase her fit figure.

At various times throughout the ARTPOP lead single, Gaga dresses up as a skeleton, a creature with a swan's body, and a runway model in a black skull cap.

And, naturally, the singer also shows off her impressive dance moves in a sequence where she wears nothing but a bra and panties made to look like hands grabbing at her body.

"I'm so excited to see you at the premiere of my video at Good Morning America in 5 hours!" she shared on her Facebook page the previous night. "I am grateful to share this new experience with you! I've thought of you fans every moment since the last BTW Ball, & dreamt everyday how I could make it up to you. Only with your happiness comes mine."

Earlier this month, the 27-year-old singer was forced to release the track prematurely online after hackers leaked the song online; at the time, Gaga declared a "pop music emergency."

Lady Gaga will next perform -- in her live stage debut of "Applause" -- at the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday, Aug. 25, in her first return to the stage since her hip surgery in late February forced her to cancel the remainder of her tour.
