Hannah Anderson, the 16-year-old kidnapping victim who was rescued in Idaho after a multistate search by authorities, will appear on NBC's Today show on Thursday to discuss the incident.
The interview will mark the first time that Anderson has been interviewed since the ordeal. She also reportedly discussed the incident in an online forum, ask.fm, earlier this month, and her answers were widely cited by news outlets at the time.

"In the beginning, I was a victim," Anderson said in excerpts of the Today interview. "But now knowing everyone out there's helping me, I consider myself a survivor instead. My mom raised me to be strong."
The search for the kidnapper ended in the death of James Lee DiMaggio in rural Idaho after the 40-year-old allegedly killed Anderson's mother and brother and set fire to a home in San Diego.
Cable networks have extensively covered the kidnapping case. CNN aired a special report titled Kidnapped: The Rescue of Hannah Anderson that was co-hosted by Anderson Cooper and Miguel Marquez on Saturday and Sunday at 6:30 p.m. ET last weekend.
