G.I. Joe writers Paul Lovett and David Elliot are heading to the small-screen.
The duo has sold a Catch Me If You Can-type drama to Fox, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
The untitled Lovett & Elliot drama follows a brilliant, young political "hactivist" who is coerced into working for the government following his arrest.

Creators Lovett and Elliot -- two of the three credited screenwriters on 2009's G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra -- will pen the script and executive produce the drama for 20th Century Fox Television. Marty Adelstein and Becky Clements are also on board to exec produce via their 21 Laps/Adelstein banner.
For Lovett and Elliott, the project marks their first foray into television. In addition to G.I. Joe, the duo penned 2005 feature Four Brothers with Mark Wahlberg and are attached to pen a sequel to Midnight Run for Universal.
Lovett and Elliot are repped by Principato-Young and Verve.
The duo recently filed suit against Paramount, MGM, Hasbro and producer Lorenzo Di Bonaventura over the "stolen" sequel to G.I. Joe.
