Are the Lab Rats about to get a surprise of a lifetime?
In the one-hour Aug. 5 installment of the Disney XD sitcom, which follows Leo (Tyler Jackson Williams) as he befriends three of billionaire Davenport's latest projects, Lab Rats Adam (Spencer Boldman), Chase (Billy Unger) and Bree (Kelli Berglund) come across a surprising revelation about their origins.
The Hollywood Reporter exclusively debuts a scene from "Bionic Showdown" wherein Adam, Chase and Bree confront Davenport (Hal Sparks) about their current situation — which results in Davenport's brother Douglas (Jeremy Kent Jackson) revealing to the trio that he, in fact, was pivotal to the creation of the Lab Rats.
“Combining an origins episode with an epic bionic fight scene breaks the show out of its normal sitcom shell," said creator/executive producer Bryan Moore. "The last 15 minutes play like a feature film; it’s a roller-coaster ride of action and emotion.”
Added Chris Peterson, creator/executive producer: “Everything we’ve done up until now has built to this one-hour event. Our fans are sure to be surprised and excited to see where the series goes next.”
Lab Rats is Disney XD's top series and has already been renewed for a third season. Production for the new season begins in September for a winter 2014 premiere.
Lab Rats will air Monday from 8:30-9:30 p.m. on Disney XD.
