“Ellen DeGeneres is so determined to have Hollywood good looks when she hosts the Academy Awards, she could fork out as much as $50,000 for plastic surgery,” says the National Enquirer.
The tabloid, which has falsely claimed that DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi were having a baby via surrogate and later wrongly alleged they were “on the rocks,” strikes out yet again with its latest piece, now reports that the talk show host “has been busy consulting with experts on the best procedures to erase years” from her appearance.
“Ellen could easily spend as much as $50,000 if she were to undergo a full facial makeover,” one random doctor who’s not treating DeGeneres tells the Enquirer.
The “expert” says a quality facelift “would help remove the creases in her face, lines around her eyes and forehead, as well as tighten the jowls and the area below her chin.”
He then goes on and on about a number of procedures DeGeneres — or anyone — could conceivably get to look younger.
Except none of it has anything to do with what DeGeneres is actually doing.
The entire Enquirer story revolves around the idea that DeGeneres wants to have major cosmetic surgery done under the radar before her March 2 Oscars broadcast — completely ignoring the fact that she’ll be hosting a daily talk show in the months before then.
A source close to the host tells Gossip Cop the story is 100 percent false, and the outlet’s sloppy track record with DeGeneres speaks for itself.
