Chris Brown’s hit-and-run case was dismissed on Thursday.

As Gossip Cop previously reported, the L.A. City Attorney claimed the singer violated his probation when he supposedly didn’t hand over proper driver’s license and insurance information following a fender bender in May with another motorist.

Brown, whose probation stems from his infamous assault on Rihanna, repeatedly contended he presented the other driver with valid documentation, and did not violate the law.

And even though the other driver — with whom Brown struck a civil compromise — also asked that the case be dismissed, the L.A. City Attorney still pushed forward.

The judge wasn’t moved by the prosecution and Brown prevailed.

The singer later tweeted in relief, “Thank GOD.”
