Several networks preempted their regularly scheduled programming Saturday evening to continue coverage of a deadly crash landing of a Boeing 777 at San Francisco International Airport.
MSNBC announced it was pushing the season premiere of Lockup back one week, while CNN was set to air Presumed Guilty: Murder in West Memphis at 10 p.m. ET, but continued coverage of the crash with Don Lemon anchoring. Fox News Channel had The Last Days of John Lennon on the schedule but continued coverage anchored by Greta Van Susteren.
Earlier in the day, ABC broke into Wimbledon coverage for a special report by David Muir. The network aired a second special report with Muir at 7:24 p.m. ET.
MSNBC's prison documentary series Lockup was to premiere at 10 p.m. ET Saturday, but messages were posted on the show’s Facebook and Twitter accounts announcing the delay around 30 minutes before airtime.

“Lockup fans: Due to breaking news, the Oakland season will kick off NEXT Saturday, July 13 at 9 p.m. ET with two all new episodes,” read a message on the show’s Facebook page.
The series, which premiered in 2005, goes inside U.S. prisons.
MSNBC’s Craig Melvin anchored coverage of downed Asiana Airlines Flight 214, with correspondent Noelle Walker on the scene. Officials said Saturday evening two people died and 181 were hospitalized after the flight from South Korea crash landed at 11:36 a.m.
