Kris Jenner lashes out at the gossip industry in a new interview with the Associated Press.
Asked whether the public really understands how hard the multi-tasking “momager” works, the Kardashian family matriarch points to the truth-twisting practices of various magazines, which she thinks amount to exploitation.
“Tabloids will print any lie to sell a magazine,” complains Jenner, who the AP describes as “frustrated.”
She continues, ”I used to give people I didn’t know out there reading this stuff a lot more credit. I used to think, ‘Who would believe this?’”
Jenner and her family are victims of a seemingly endless stream of rumors, from the outlandish and ridiculous to the misleading and patently false.

In the last few weeks alone, the soon-to-be talk show host was accused of refusing to let new mom Kim leave the home until baby pics were sold (completely fabricated), being on a “trial separation” from husband Bruce (fiction), was “dying” to manage Amanda Bynes (laughably wrong), and was “butting heads” with her talk show bosses (untrue).
But don’t expect Jenner’s famous family to take center stage on “Kris,” which premieres on Monday.
The program is “absolutely about the viewer. It’s not a show about me and my kids,” she insists.
Still, daughter Khloe is slated to serve as a guest co-host for a future episode, and Jenner notes, “I think everybody, depending on what’s going on in their universe, will come on and pay a little visit here and there.”
“That’s just the natural order of things in my house,” she adds. “It’s like, ‘OK, mom’s got a new project.’”
