Justin Timberlake, Macklemore Lead 2013 MTV Video Music Award Nominees

The first wave of nominees for the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards was released on Wednesday, and Justin Timberlake, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis are leading the pack with six nods apiece.

Miley Cyrus, Pink and Thirty Seconds to Mars follow with three nominations each.

The nominees for the big Video of the Year award include Justin Timberlake (“Mirrors), Macklemore and Ryan Lewis (“Thrift Shop”), Bruno Mars (“Locked Out of Heaven”), Robin Thicke featuring T.I. and Pharrell (“Blurred Lines”) and Taylor Swift (“I Knew You Were Trouble”).

The MTV VMAs will air live from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn on August 25.
