“Glee” stars came together on Thursday to pay tribute to Cory Monteith.
In a statement, the show’s producer 20th Century Fox Television said the series’ creator Ryan Murphy and Monteith’s girlfriend Lea Michele “gathered the cast, crew and producers of ‘Glee,’ along with colleagues from the network and studio, to share memories and music in an emotional celebration of the life of Cory Monteith.”
“We thank the public for their continued outpouring of love and support as we grieve our friend and colleague during this difficult time,” added the statement.
Monteith died in a Vancouver hotel on July 13 from a lethal mix of heroin and alcohol.
It was announced last week that “Glee” would push back its Season 5 premiere in the wake of the young actor’s death.
Murphy has also said the show will address the issue via the death of Finn Hudson, Monteith’s character.
