“America’s Got Talent” made shocking cuts right at the start of the second round of competition on Tuesday.

In a major twist from past years, the judges divided the acts into three groups, immediately eliminating one batch, sending another 30 straight through to the live shows at Radio City Music Hall, and asking the 30 remaining contestants to audition again.

Among the surprising eliminations were Milton Patton, who shocked the judges with his country voice, and 14-year-old Olivia Rox, who had wowed with her acoustic Justin Bieber cover.

The lucky ones who received invitations to the quarter-finals included 10-year-old “superstar” singer Anna Christine, and Kenchi Ebina, the Matrix-inspired dancer.

Rock band American Hitmen and 10-year-old rap duo 2Unique were some of the acts who performed again, along with opera trio Forte.

More will performed on Wednesday’s show, during which the final acts for the live shows will be chosen.
