TV Ratings: ‘Big Brother’ Premiere Drops, ‘MasterChef’ Tops Wednesday

Inching up from last week, MasterChef and Fox topped all Wednesday broadcasts among adults 18-49. Averaging a 2.3 rating in the key demo, the culinary competition grew by a tenth of a point. The two-hour episode also pulled in 5.74 million viewers.

Big Brother (2.1 adults) returned to CBS on Wednesday night, shedding half of a point from last summer's July opener. In its new hour, American Baking Competition (1.2 adults) held even with last week's original. The network averaged a 1.5 rating with adults 18-49 and 5.66 million viewers.

NBC encores averaged a 1.0 rating among adults 18-49 and 4.5 million viewers.

Family Tools (0.7) adults dropped two tenths of a point to a series low, while How to Live With Your Parents (0.9 adults) ended its run down a tenth of a point. Nightline: The Lookout (0.9 adults) dropped two tenths of a point, giving ABC an average 0.9 adults rating and 3.3 million viewers for the night.

Repeats gave the CW a 0.4 adults rating and 1.4 million viewers.

Univision averaged a 1.5 rating with adults 18-49 and 3.9 million viewers, while Telemundo averaged a 0.7 demo rating and 1.6 million.
