Lauren Graham
Lauren Graham is taking her story to the small screen.
The Parenthood star, who released her debut novel in April, is developing a one-hour drama based on her New York Times-bestselling book Someday, Someday, Maybe, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.
Someday, Someday, Maybe centers on a young woman with six months left on her three-year plan to make a career as an actress in New York City. Graham, who will write the script, will executive produce with Ellen DeGeneres and Jeff Kleeman. Warner Bros. TV and A Very Good Production are the production companies behind it.
Graham's team-up with Warner Bros. TV marks a reunion for the actress, who starred in the studio's hourlong drama Gilmore Girls for seven seasons from 2000-07.
The news comes after a high-volume of semi-autobiographical fare landed at the networks during development season last year, with several projects (The Michael J. Fox Show, Adam F. Goldberg's The Goldbergs and D.J. Nash's The Family Guide) snagging series orders.
Graham is repped by ICM Partners and John Carrabino Management.
