Lady Gaga returned to the stage on Friday, delivering a speech and rousing rendition of the national anthem to kick off New York’s Gay Pride Rally.

The pop star has been sidelined and mostly out of view since a hip injury forced her to cancel her Born This Way Ball tour back in February.
But in the wake of same-sex marriage’s Supreme Court victories earlier this week, Gaga addressed the jubilant Pride gathering with a speech reflecting on her relationship to the LGBT community — and then sang a stirring “Star-Spangled Banner.”
