It's official: Selma Blair's days on FX's Anger Management have come to an end.
Studio Lionsgate Television confirmed the news Tuesday afternoon in a statement: “We are confirming that Selma Blair will not be returning to Anger Management and we wish her the very best.”
The news comes 24 hours after TMZ reported that the actress had a falling out with series star Charlie Sheen, with the actor allegedly threatening to depart the comedy if Blair returned to the set.

For FX, the timing of the fallout between the actors -- Sheen reportedly had gone to bat to secure Blair the job -- comes after Anger Management recently took a month-long hiatus to undergo some creative retooling as the writers contemplated changes to regigger the show. Ratings for the series, Sheen's follow-up to CBS' Two and a Half Men -- hadn't been what FX had liked, with the Sheen vehicle seeing a ratings uptick with original episodes airing on corporate sibling Fox.
Sources tell The Hollywood Reporter that Anger Management will add a new series regular -- likely to replace Blair -- as the series is roughly a third of the way through its 90-episode order. Sources tell THR that Blair's exit will not impact production of the series, which will continue on as planned.
The clash between Blair and Sheen marks the latest public feud for the former Two and a Half Men star. In April, Sheen had somewhat harsh words for Anger Management guest star Lindsay Lohan, noting his former Scary Movie 5 co-star held the production "hostage" and delivered "half a show."
For Sheen, the clash comes two years after he was publicly fired from Two and a Half Men after blasting showrunner Chuck Lorre.
