Cameron Diaz has been cast as mean Miss Hannigan in the upcoming Annie remake.
Diaz joins a cast that includes Jamie Foxx as Daddy Warbucks and Beasts Of The Southern Wild’s Quvenzhane Wallis as Annie.
Sandra Bullock had been circling the Miss Hannigan role, but recently pulled out of talks, paving the way for Diaz to play the antagonistic orphanage matron on the big screen.
Annie won’t just have A-list talent in front of the camera, as Will Smith and Jay Z are producing the project.
The film is aiming for a Christmas 2014 release.
