Aaron Hernandez, the disgraced NFL star charged with murder, gave an interview to “Extra” in April that now seems rather disturbing given the allegations against him.
At the time, co-host Maria Menounos described Hernandez as a “favorite in the Hispanic community,” and asked how he gave back.
“Um, I just try to be a role model,” he answered. “And when I see Hispanics who look up to me, I try to lead them in the right direction.”
On Wednesday, the former New England Patriots tight end was formally charged in the death of former semi-pro football player Odin Lloyd, whose body was found in an industrial park earlier this month.
