TV Ratings: ‘So You Think You Can Dance’ Drops in Return

Moving into the 9 p.m. hour on Tuesday night, The Voice topped the night with adults 18-49. Fast National returns have the NBC series down three tenths of a point from last week to a 3.7 rating. Grimm (1.7 adults), down a tenth from last week, capped off the night for NBC, which averaged a 2.4 rating in the key demo and 7.4 million viewers.

The pair of NCIS (3.2 adults) and NCIS: LA (2.5 adults) ended their seasons on CBS, each moving up by a tenth of a point. Both were down from last season's finales, dropping a respective four and five tenths of a point. The axed Golden Boy (1.2 adults) was steady with its most recent showing, giving CBS a 2.3 rating with adults 18-49 and 12.9 million viewers for the night.

So You Think You Can Dance (1.9 adults) returned to the Fox lineup for its summer run, down a half of a point from the 2012 season opener. Previous SYTYCD premieres, including the most recent, have not aired during the more competitive May sweep. New Girl (2.1 adults) and The Mindy Project (1.3 adults) both finished their seasons steady with their most recent episodes. Fox averaged a 1.8 rating with adults 18-49 and 4.2 million viewers.

Wipeout (1.1 adults) dropped two tenths of a point from its Thursday debut last week, leading into a slightly boosted Dancing With the Stars (1.8 adults). The results show, which ABC is discontinuing after this cycle, was up by a tenth of a point. At 10 p.m., outgoing Body of Proof (1.4 adults) wrapped the night even with last week. ABC averaged a 1.4 rating with adults 18-49 and 8.2 million viewers.

The CW aired the movie Leap Year to a 0.3 rating with adults 18-49 and 926,000 viewers.

Univision averaged a 1.4 rating with adults 18-49 and 3.6 million viewers.
