Robert Pattinson and Katy Perry have “bonded over the fact that they’ve both been cheated on — and pals hope it’s the beginning of a beautiful romance,” reports the National Enquirer in a story titled, “Rob cozies up to Katy Perry.”
The tabloid, which recently claimed Kristen Stewart was in a “gay” relationship with Perry’s assistant, Tamra Natisin, says Pattinson and Perry were “spotted together” with a group of friends at New York’s Bowery Ballroom last month.
The mag claims that after seeing a Daughter concert, “Rob reportedly took Katy to the Spot lounge at the Trump SoHo, and the pair stayed side by side for much of the night.”
Yes, they were side by side — along with all the other friends with whom they were hanging.
Anyway, a so-called “source” tells the tab, “Katy adores Rob. She always has. And he’s always liked her.”
Well… they’re close friends, so it’s hardly shocking that they’re fond of each other.
Still, the tab’s made up “insider” persists, adding that Pattinson is supposedly “drawn to Katy,” and alleges, “When they’re together, there is an obvious chemistry, and their shared heartbreak has made for a strong bond.”
“Everyone’s hoping they become an item,” claims the fake source.
Yes, everyone at the Enquirer.
However, down here on planet earth, everyone knows that Pattinson and Stewart are great friends with Perry, and all hang out in the same group.
There’s no newsiness that Pattinson and Perry went out with a bunch of pals in New York, and a number of other lame tabloids have already tried – and failed — to create some sort of love connection between the pair.
In any case, Gossip Cop checked in with a Perry insider, who tells us the mag’s romance tale is simply “pathetic.”
