Two Metro North trains collided Friday night near Fairfield, CT. Governor Dan Malloy told reporters during a new conference that 60 people have been transported to hospitals, 5 in critical condition.

FAIRFIELD, Conn. (AP) -- A New York-area commuter railroad says two trains have collided in Connecticut, and there are preliminary reports of injuries.
The Metro-North Railroad says emergency workers are arriving at the scene of Friday's accident. The rail line referred to it in a news release as a "major derailment."
