Kanye West Says He Won’t Do ‘SNL’ Skits in Profanity-Laced Tirade

Kanye West will grace Saturday Night Live with his presence, but don’t expect him to have fun with it.

The rapper unleashed a profanity-laced tirade on Wednesday night while performing at the Roseland Ballroom for the Adult Swim upfronts, where he slammed the concept of celebrity, the paparazzi and even SNL. Complex magazine posted video clips from the event.

“One thing about me, I’m the worst kinda … celebrity because all I do is make real music. All I do is sit in the studio and make real, real s--t,” he proclaimed. “That’s mother f—king it. … So I don’t want nobody trying to run up on me with no cameras, trying to sell pictures and s—t to magazines, asking me no dumbass questions, throwing me off my focus …” he continued, undoubtedly referencing a recent incident in which, while distracted by photographers, he walked straight into a metal street sign. Days later, his Lamborghini was surrounded by photogs as it became stuck in the gates at baby mama Kim Kardashian’s house.

From there, West said a friend had asked him if he would go on SNL -- where he will serve as musical guest while Ben Affleck hosts -- and do a “skit about the paparazzi” and “humanize” himself.

“I ain’t here to apologize to no [one], man. It ain’t about me humanizing myself,” was his retort. “At what point did I become un-human where I had to turn myself back? Or maybe I was demonized. Or maybe I was treated inhumane and not human in that kind of situation.”

But to answer the question: “Nah, I ain’t doing no f--king SNL skits … this my … life. This ain’t no f--king joke. That’s it.”

Your move, Affleck.
