Jon Voight spoke exclusively to Gossip Cop about Angelina Jolie revealing on Tuesday that she underwent a double mastectomy.
The actor first said his “love and admiration for her can never be measured in words,” and noted that his daughter’s courage in opening up about her surgery “will be an inspiration to all women who are vulnerable” to breast cancer.
Voight further praised Jolie for helping others finds “comfort” in the face of adversity.
He told Gossip Cop that they spoke this morning and she’s doing “terrific.”
Voight was particularly proud of how Jolie handled her condition with her six kids by giving them the “education” behind breast cancer treatment while, at the same time “putting them at ease.”
“It’s wonderful,” he concluded about his daughter’s handling of the situation.
As Gossip Cop reported earlier, Brad Pitt’s mom Jane and Jolie’s brother James Haven similarly praised the actress.
And Pitt called his partner’s decision to talk about her mastectomies “absolutely heroic.”
