In the wake of the news that “Vampire Diaries” co-stars Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev have split up after more than three years of dating, the handsome actor posted an eyebrow-raising message on Twitter on Thursday.
Somerhalder tweeted, “People change and forget to tell each other,” quoting the late playwright Lillian Hellman.
Hmm…
No official reason has been given for why the couple broke up.
On Monday, Dobrev walked the red carpet solo at the Met Gala, hanging with fellow newly-single pal Julianne Hough.
Meanwhile, Somerhalder is currently in Belgium, as he also noted on Twitter, discussing “European growth and integration” for his environment-conscious Ian Somerhalder Foundation.
