So this rumor was pretty huge in the late '90s and early '00s. It seemed to make perfect sense because Marilyn Mason was a total weirdo. Why wouldn't he want to have his ribs removed so he could blow himself? Except that it wasn't true at all, and he's actually a totally normal guy when he's not on stage.
Also, at the time this rumor was going around, he was dating Rose McGowan, which should have been a big red flag — because no one is a big enough weirdo to need to blow themselves while dating Rose McGowan.
