Ellen DeGeneres has finally come face-to-face with Ellen DeGeneres.
Kind of.
On her talk show on Wednesday, DeGeneres was joined by Kate McKinnon, a lifelong fan who frequently impersonates the host on “SNL.”
“It’s been such a journey. I’m trying not to cry because I have loved you my whole life, truly,” the “SNL” star told DeGeneres, adding, “It’s like I’ve met Jesus, if you believe in that sort of thing. I’ve arrived at the gates and here you are.”
Later, an ecstatic McKinnon dressed up exactly like DeGeneres, and took a turn in the host’s chair alongside her idol.
