The Voice (4.3 rating with adults 18-49) was up in its timeslot from last week's Tuesday opener, rising two tenths of a point according to Fast National returns. The series also managed to narrowly top ABC's Dancing With the Stars in total viewers, 13.61 million over 13.59 million. It led into a special New Normal (1.9 adults) at 9 p.m., before a second episode (1.4 adults), the season finale, rose one tenth from the previous week. Smash (0.9 adults) was down a tenth of a point from its last original. All told, NBC averaged a 2.3 rating with adults 18-49 and 6.98 million viewers.

A new Splash (1.4 adults) saw another drop on ABC, falling an additional three tenths of a point against The Voice. Dancing With the Stars' results hour (2.2 adults) was also off from last week, losing two tenths of a point. Body of Proof (1.5 adults), which has been performing markedly better with its DWTS lead, was down just a tenth of a point for a 1.5 rating with adults 18-49. ABC averaged a 1.7 adults rating and 9.3 million viewers.
Hell's Kitchen (1.9 adults) was down by a tenth of a point, week to week, on Fox. It led into a New Girl encore and an original The Mindy Project. Despite Mindy's softer lead, the show was only down by a tenth of a point from last week. Fox averaged a 1.6 rating with adults 18-49 and 3.7 million viewers.

Encores of NCIS and NCIS: Los Angeles led into a new Golden Boy (1. 3 adults) on CBS. The freshman drama was down a tenth of a point, bringing the network's nightly average to a 1.4 rating with adults 18-49 and 9.5 million viewers.
Repeats gave the CW a 0.2 rating in the key demo with 690,000 viewers.
And on Univision, Tuesday brought an average 1.6 rating with adults 18-49 and 3.8 million viewers.
