TBS’ Bill Lawrence Pilot Sets ‘Pitch Perfect’ Reunion

The Barden Bellas and Treblemakers are finally on the same team: TBS.

Alexis Knapp is reuniting with her Pitch Perfect co-star Skylar Astin, booking a series regular role in the cable network's Bill Lawrence comedy pilot Ground Floor, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

The workplace comedy centers on a 29-year-old successful alpha male Brody (Astin) who crosses paths with his company's support staff -- a tight-knit group of happy, carefree people -- prompting him to realize that he's not nearly as happy as he thought he was.

STORY: 'Pitch Perfect's' Skylar Astin to Star in TBS' Bill Lawrence Comedy

Knapp, who played the sex-crazed Bella Stacie in Pitch Perfect, will portray Tori, a wildly sexy woman who is a bundle of compressed energy who spends most of her nights at the local bar. She's one of Jennifer's (Briga Heelan) co-workers who mostly comes to work to sleep who is quickly announced when Brody keeps interrupting her shut-eye.

From Warner Horizon Television, Lawrence and Greg Malins will pen the script for the multicamera comedy; Lawrence will executive produce alongside Doozer's Jeff Ingold with Randall Winston on board as a producer. Gail Mancuso will direct the pilot, which also stars Scrubs alum John C. McGinley, James Earl and Rene Gube.

Knapp, whose credits also include Project X, Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief and Lifetime's Cinnamon Girl pilot, can next be seen in the indie comedy Cavemen, opposite Chad Michael Murray. She's repped by CAA, Untitled Entertainment and Stone Meyer.
