VIDEOPresident Obama poked fun at the controversy stemming from Jay-Z and Beyoncé’s recent trip to Cuba at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner on Saturday.
As Gossip Cop previously reported, two legislators initially objected to the superstar couple’s anniversary trip, accusing them of not having the proper licensing to travel to the country.
Many wondered if the pairs’ close friendship with the President played a role in securing the trip, especially after Jay-Z suggested as much in a new song.

And when Obama even denied having any involvement in the trip, the controversy didn’t exactly subside.
But, showing a sense of humor about the situation, Obama made a few quips during his speech Saturday night.
The President began, “Some things are beyond my control. For example, this whole controversy about Jay-Z going to Cuba.”
“It’s unbelievable,” said Obama. “I’ve got 99 problems and now Jay-Z’s one.”
