Kellan Lutz is joining another big budget movie.
The Twilight star has landed the title role in Renny Harlin’s upcoming Hercules 3D.
The Greek epic is set to begin filming in May in Bulgaria.
Harlin tells The Hollywood Reporter in a statement, “It takes more than a good physique to portray the most legendary, mythological personality in history — and Kellan has exactly that, personality.”
The director’s film is one of two different Hercules projects currently in development, the other being Bret Ratner’s take starring Dwayne Johnson.
Lutz seems ripe for the role of the hero as he previously played Poseidon in Immortals, and will also star in the upcoming Tarzan movie.
