Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper’s new movie American Hustle has temporarily shut down production in Boston amid Friday’s ongoing manhunt for one of the Boston Marathon bombing suspects.

The project — which re-teams the stars with their Silver Linings Playbook director David O. Russell — recently started filming in the area, and returned to Boston on Wednesday, two days after the explosions.

But the city was effectively shut down on Friday as the FBI and police officials searched for alleged bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, who has been on the run since Thursday night and is considered armed and dangerous.

Tsarnaev’s brother, the first suspect in the case, was killed following violence and a car chase early Friday morning.

American Hustle also stars Jeremy Renner, Christian Bale, Robert De Niro and Amy Adams.

Sony Pictures has reportedly confirmed that while filming has been canceled due to the ongoing events, everyone related to the production is safe and out of harm’s way.

On Thursday, Cooper went to the Boston Medical Center to visit victims of the bombing, and also attended an interfaith service, where President Obama spoke.
