Blake Masters
AMC is moving forward with a drama project from Brotherhood's Blake Masters.
The cable network has greenlighted a pilot order for Line of Sight, centered on a National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) investigator who survives a mysterious plane crash. Masters will write and serve as executive producer.
Production on the Fox TV Studios/AMC Studios-produced pilot will begin later this year.
Described as a "genre-bending odyssey," Line of Sight is the story of Lewis Bernt's search to find out what happened to him. He becomes a man whose entire self, his own life and the world as he knows it, unravels in a whirlwind of obsession and paranoia.
"Blake Masters has created a world and set of characters that defies the traditional boundaries of drama and sci-fi. It's got great elements of both genres while also having that unique blend of a conspiracy thriller. It is genuinely unexpected and unconventional,” said Joel Stillerman, AMC’s executive vp original programming, production and digital content. “It is also great to be working with our incredible partners at FTVS again."
Stillerman, senior vp scripted programming Susie Fitzgerald and senior vp production Jason Fisher are overseeing development and production.
This comes more than a week after AMC unveiled its slate, which included a Breaking Bad talk-show companion Talking Bad and seven scripted efforts in development. Other pilots at AMC include Ballistic City and Halt & Catch Fire.
