Aubrey Cleland has won a spot on the 2013 “American Idol” tour, it was announced on Wednesday.
She returned to the show last week, and faced off against fellow eliminated semi-finalist Charlie Askew in a sing-off for the slot.
Each performed a song, after which viewers had a week to vote online for their preferred singer.
Askew performed an original song, “Sky Blue Diamond,” followed by Cleland taking on “Out Here On My Own”.
After viewers at home had a chance to vote, the results were revealed on Wednesday.
An ecstatic Cleland was named the winner, and will get to tour with of the “Idol” Season 12 Top 10.
