TV Ratings: Steady ‘Following’ Drives Fox Win, ‘Bachelor’ and ‘Loser’ Down

Fox topped with adults 18-49 (2.5 rating) and total viewers (8.4 million) for Monday night in Fast National returns. Bones (2.2 adults) started the night down a tenth of a point from its previous showing, but a steady episode of The Following (2.8 adults) topped the night in the key demo.

The Bachelor (2.7 adults) was off two tenths of a point from last week on ABC -- though the Women Tell All special was up 8 percent from last year. An encore of Castle capped off the night, giving the network an average 2.3 adults rating and 7.9 million viewers.

NBC's The Biggest Loser (2.1 adults) was off by only a tenth of a point at 8 p.m. Deception (1.1 adults), matching its series low, was also off by a tenth. The network averaged a 1.8 rating with adults 18-49 and 5 million viewers.

A slew of encores gave CBS a 1.6 rating in the key demo and an average 6.1 million viewers -- while lone repeat exception Rules of Engagement (2.2 adults) hit a season low without a How I Met Your Mother lead-in.

The Carrie Diaries (0.5 adults) was up a tenth of a point from the previous original and an exiting 90210 (0.3 adults) was even with last week. The CW averaged a 0.4 adults rating and 949,000 viewers.
