In 1995, he was a 19-year old sophomore at NYU, and was profiled by Sassy as "one to watch" in advance to the opening of his first movie Kids.
He told the magazine "I am a self-proclaimed genius. I came to that rationalization [Sassy assumed he meant to say "realization"] when I was pretty young."
