TBS is sticking with Cougar Town. The ABC Studios production, which left its broadcast network home in 2012, has received an order for another season at the cable network.
The Turner-owned network announced the renewal on Monday, though the new order of 13 episodes is shy of the current season's 15-episode run.

“Cougar Town has been everything we hoped it would be: a smart, big-hearted, laugh-out-loud comedy that shines a bright light on the TBS brand,” said TBS, TNT and TCM president and head of programming Michael Wright. “This season, the brilliant cast and immensely creative production team on Cougar Town have crafted their best episodes yet, and we couldn’t be happier inviting them back for more.”
Starring Courteney Cox, Christa Miller, Busy Philipps, Dan Byrd, Ian Gomez, Josh Hopkins and Brian Van Holt, Cougar Town was let go by ABC last spring after the third season experienced a drop in ratings.
On TBS, Cougar Town has seen a relatively steady ratings performance with 2.8 million viewers and 1.7 million adults 18-49 in Live+Seven Day delivery. In the key demographic, it's the network's top-performing original primetime series ever. In Live+Same, Cougar Town hit a high in February with 2.43 million viewers in one episode.
Since co-creators Bill Lawrence and Kevin Biegel departed the day-to-day of the show following its move to TBS, Ric Swartzlander has served as showrunner.
