Tara Summers
Fox's Rake has rounded out its cast.
Ringer actress Tara Summers has joined the one-hour drama pilot toplined by Greg KInnear, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
Based on the Australian series, Rake follows the chaotic and comedic life of criminal defense lawyer Keegan Joye (Kinnear). Brilliant, frustratingly charming, and with zero filter, Joye is one of life's great addicts. His staggering lack of discretion and inability to self-censor land him the cases that nobody else wants, but behind that lies a resolute optimism and belief in justice that fuel his dogged determination to defend those who seem beyond redemption.

Summers will play Leanne Zander, Joye's put-upon but no-nonsense assistant. Wry-humored, capable and not afraid of a job that's out of the box -- to put it mildly -- Leanne has a good relationship with Keegan, for whom she does legal research and occasionally his laundry. Miranda Otto, John Ortiz, Necar Zadegan, Bojana Novakovic, Ian Colletti and David Harbour co-star.
Peter Duncan, who created the Australian series, will pen the script and executive produce the Sony TV entry alongside Rescue Me's Peter Tolan, Michael Wimer, Richard Roxburgh and Ian Collie. Kinnear will serve as a co-exec producer on the drama that also hails from Fedora Entertainment and Essential Media & Entertainment.
Summers, who appeared on Ringer, Damages and Boston Legal, as well as Hitchcock, is repped by Resolution and Framework.
