Is Rebecca to blame on The Lying Game?
The events from recent weeks are culminating in Tuesday's finale, and it all seems to point to Rebecca Sewell (Charisma Carpenter) as the guilty party. Was she the one responsible for Theresa's death? Derek's untimely murder? Though it may look that way, there is far more to the story than meets the eye.
At the moment, it seems Rebecca's next stop could be the slammer. "Depending on the evidence, I have a sneaking suspicion I will be facing some jail time from Alec's hand," Carpenter tells The Hollywood Reporter.

But Rebecca may not be as evil as she may seem. "It'll be super surprising when you realize she's not the uber-villain she's been painted out to be," she says, "and the person [who is], you're like 'No!' Someone you would least likely expect. I did not expect that character being the big, bad uber-villain. Who knows, maybe they're not?"
Like every closer, there will be "a few confrontations in the season finale between some pivotal people," Carpenter teases, with someone's fate possibly in question. The big question, however, is whether Emma and Sutton will out their twin status to everyone? "When will everyone find out?" Carpenter asks. "I think you have a lot to look forward to."
The season will have a shocking end "and it will not be resolved," Carpenter says. "This is a bona-fide cliffhanger."

When asked if there has been any indication on a season three for The Lying Game, the actress admitted it was "a sore subject." "I'm not used to ever having to wait for all your episodes to air before they're willing to give a well-deserved audience a pickup," Carpenter says.
Carpenter noted the similarities in tone with lead-in Pretty Little Liars and Lying Game, both born from Sara Shepard novels, and recalled her days on Buffy the Vampire Slayer and spinoff Angel. "I feel like Lying Game is a spinoff of Pretty Little Liars," Carpenter says, adding later, "I feel like we're deserving all the support we can get."
The Lying Game wraps up season two at 9 p.m. Tuesday on ABC Family.
